    Lanson to London

We’re super proud to be supporting an amazing bunch of West Cornwall Pasty Co fans in their epic bike ride from Launceston - The Ancient Capital of Cornwall to London, in the name of charity.

They will be given a true West Country send off with The Mayor, Town Cryer and a Cornish Bagpiper appearing for their Grand Departure.

The team will ride ‘The Trafalgar Way’, a legendary route, steeped in history. In October 1805 the Battle of Trafalgar took place, following which news of the British Navy victory, as well as the death of Admiral Lord Nelson needed to be sent to the Admiralty, London. Lieutenant Lapenotière was handed despatches and ordered to deliver new to London. When his ship landed just off the coast of Falmouth, so would begin his epic 37 hour journey via a horse drawn coach to London. Over 200 years later riders follow this historical path, but on two wheels!

Jason and his team are raising money for Sarcoma UK, a charity close to their hearts, as their friend and fellow cyclist Gareth is currently suffering with the condition. Gareth will be making the incredible trip to London with his friends, and has already raised an astonishing £10,000!

For the proud Cornish men and women taking this noble pilgrimage, the very least we could do is supply them with a wholesome Cornish feast at the other end of their journey! It will be truly symbolic of their mammoth achievement at they arrive into Waterloo on Sunday afternoon!
