Happy St Piran's Day! (Cornish: Gool Peran) Today is the national day of Cornwall, England, held on 5 March every year. The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall, Saint Piran, who is also the patron saint of tin miners.
To celebrate we're going to be enjoying our multi award winning Traditional Cornish Pasty. We took the prestigious title of CORNISH PASTY COMPANY CHAMPION for the second year in a row at the World Pasty Championships last Saturday in St Austell. We were represented by our Traditional Cornish Pasty so we're sure Saint Piran would approve!
Our Traditional Cornish Pasty is made from fresh diced beef skirt layered over freshly chopped potatoes, swede and onion sprinkled with our own blend of salt and peppers. Delicious!
